Confession: I got well into the swing of my favourite Christmas playlists a good few weeks back. I will take all of the good festive feels right now! In fact, I’ve been nudging Oli to get our Christmas tree, but that has steadfastly been ruled out until December (Oli is a traditionalist!), so I’ll be waiting a few weeks yet. Still, gifting, gifting I can think about. Yay! Enter British heritage brand Laura Ashley, who’ve partnered with Boots UK to create an elegant and romantic Christmas gifting collection.

Laura Ashley Christmas Gifts for 2020

I have grown up with Laura Ashley. Some of my earliest memories are of choosing beautiful printed dresses with my Mum. They were amongst my most treasured items. My heart sunk therefore when I heard that the Laura Ashley brand was suffering under the pressure of COVID-19 this year, closing its stores and business. Fortunately, fast forward a few months and there are brighter times ahead! I was delighted when I heard that Laura Ashley would be returning under new ownership, starting with a beautiful gifting range available at Boots UK for 2020.

The Laura Ashley home collection is returning in Spring 2021 too. As one of the UK’s greatest heritage brands, to know that it is back on strong footing is a buoying fact indeed!

NB: Boots stores are open as usual during lockdown. 

Laura Ashley’s gifting collection features an array of floral-scented hand creams, soaps and items for the home.

Given my goals to move towards cleaner beauty and skincare products, I dove into the ingredients for this collection and am happy to report that it scores highly for clean components. 

As for the gifts themselves; there is a vast range of choice, from stocking fillers like the Luxury Hand & Nail Cream Collection, to the Laura Ashley Ultimate Indulgence Gift Set which is currently better than half price at Boots UK. The Ultimate Indulgence Gift Set in particular is a smart investment, considering it’s packed with goodies, including bath foam, body cream and – a personal favourite – the softest eye mask. Plus, the box is so pretty, it can easily be re-used.

The Parterre Print

Peruse Laura Ashley’s Christmas collection with Boots UK and you’ll notice a print woven throughout its packaging. This print is called Parterre, and it was inspired by hand-painted artwork from the brand’s archive.

I adore this print, with its gently curved leaves and abundance of flowers, it taps into my love for all things botanical. The print will feature heavily in the brand’s new upcoming home collection, and I can’t wait to see it reiterated in new ways.
