GINGHAM REVISTED FOR AUTUMN
So here’s a funny (ever so slightly embarrassing) story – this Zara gingham top? On consultation with the Zara website (I bought mine in store) – it turns out I was wearing it back to front.
I mean – it totally works both ways! Which if you like hard-working pieces may count as a big tick in its ‘plus’ side box?! ????????!
Anyhu . . .
There are certain summer trends around which there is a reluctance to let go.
And fortunately, just because it’s colder outside doesn’t mean that key trends can’t be revisited, tweaked and re-styled.
Gingham is one of those malleable trends – it’s adorable in summertime, and it’s hard-working for autumn too!

Transitioning Your Trends . . .
If you’re a fan of this playful pattern – I mean, it’s so sweet! – then you’ll be delighted to know that there are many gorgeous gingham pieces which can be revisited for autumn and into the winter season. I’ve popped some of my favourites at the bottom of this post.
Simply look out for longer sleeves, longer hems and heavier fabrics, or slip a very fine polo neck under your summertime dresses.
Top tip! If you’re looking for ways to style up your pieces differently for the cooler months, Pinterest is FULL of styling ideas. I’ve been loving Pinning to my Autumn Fashion board of late!
I’ve rounded up a few gingham pieces you can shop now, should you be keen to keep the patterned party going for the cooler months too!
This Madewell top has been circling my shopping bag for weeks, these canvas mules would look amazing with frayed-hem denim jeans on bright autumn days, and this Willow and Page smock top is so darn pretty.
Have a little peruse of my roundup below to see if any of autumn’s most beautiful gingham pieces take your fancy . . .
WHAT’S YOUR TAKE?
Which summertime trends are you persisting with? And how are you styling them up? I’d love to know!
